Jan 1 - 9, 2021
San Miguel, El Salvador
Pastor Roberto Nieto pastors a church begun in 1973 by missionary Bob C. Green of BIMI. This church has both local and global missionary vision, having produced more than 30 churches over the years, the most recent in Chinandega, Nicaragua. They also participate with missionary works in Spain, Romania, India, Kurdistan, and Macedonia. This church of approximately 750 members is located in San Miguel. Their vision is to carry the gospel to the ends of the earth. Our most recent visit to El Salvador was in March of 2019, when we took an optical team of 14 volunteers to partner with Iglesia Bautista Tabernáculo. Our team served in six different locations, helping 5 established churches reach their communities with help and working in one area where a church plant was in the works. We saw 310 patients pray to trust Christ as Savior that week, and are praying for another great week of ministry in 2021.
We are planning for this trip to offer medical and optical services for this community. Sign up today to use your skill set as a medical professional or as a non-medical volunteer. If you are a dental professional interested in this trip, please email email@example.com to discuss the possibility of adding this service. Physical and occupational therapy professionals should reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org about using their skills on this team.
