Where We Go
As a medical professional, you have committed your life to provide care to the hurting. You understand what it means to look a patient in the eye, listen to his complaint, and provide him with relief. And as a Christian, you understand what it means to share God’s love with a hurting soul. But why limit yourself to your community? This is an opportunity to minister to thousands of aching bodies and hearts all around the world.
When signing up for a trip, please make sure to start an online account before filling out the application form.
Lastly, don’t forget to read the ‘Know Before You Go’ section before applying.
Know Before You Go
- All trips are reserved on a ‘first come – first served’ basis. Each trip allows a maximum of 40 volunteers; of which a maximum of 25 non-medical volunteers are allowed while the remaining count will be comprised of medical volunteers.
- Trip prices include all airfare (from the closest major airport to your hometown to the foreign field), food, transportation, and lodging. Effective through 2018, all team members are responsible for their own visas and travel insurance. Travel insurance is required. We will provide all the information for the insurance and visas after joining the team. Beginning with 2019 trips, your travel insurance will be included in your trip price, and you will not be required to purchase it separately.
- All trip deposits are non-refundable. All trip balances must be paid in full 45 days prior to departure. All team members are responsible for 100% of trip costs if cancelling within 90 days of departure. Please visit the Payment Page to view our financial policies.
2019 Trips
NEW THIS YEAR
- Trip prices now include your insurance package! You will no longer need to purchase trip insurance separately after August of 2018.
- Vision only teams will be offered this year—these are ideal for church groups! Pastors, contact us right away for information about a group reservation; spots fill quickly, especially to Central and South American locations.
- We’re thrilled to announce our first Extended Service Opportunity! Our trip to Papua, New Guinea, is a two-week experience.
- We have selected certain trips where we would like to offer physical therapy and dental care. Our ability to provide these clinics will be based upon the applications we receive from licensed health care professionals. If you assist or are studying one of these fields, please communicate with us about your desire to serve, and we can let you know which trips have confirmed physical therapists or dentists. If you are a dentist or physical therapist and the trip you’d like to take doesn’t indicate that option, please contact us! We will work with you and your schedule to find a place to serve.
- If you are interested in an extended stay or a flight deviation, please let our offices know at least 90 days before departure. There is a minimum charge of $150 for each deviation, and you are responsible for extra fees the airline charges; this option is based upon availability and feasibility for each location. Please email our offices for additional information.

The Fridenstines, Adam, Esther, Joel, Micah, and Isaí, live in Cojutepeque, El Salvador. They are sent out of Lancaster Baptist Church in Lancaster, California, and serve with BIMI (Baptist International Missions, Inc). They have been on the field since 2011, when the Lord opened the door to lead a new church plant and direct a 50 year-old Christian school. It is their desire to see souls saved, lives changed, and more churches started as they train up the next generation to serve Jesus Christ. Serving God in HIS will is the greatest thing in life.

From the missionary: “Papua New Guinea will offer you a one of a kind look at a mission field in a unique, picturesque and unexpected place, for Papua New Guinea is the ‘Land of the Unexpected.’
Just to give you a forewarning- Many have come and returned to their homes only to find that Papua New Guinea has forever changed them, it has done this to us as well.
Papua New Guinea offers so much to do and see and there is nothing like walking to a village over streams on a log or going swimming in a reef and seeing fish and sea cucumbers up close. Although I find the greatest thing to do in Papua New Guinea is to sit and talk to the people or to watch them as they harvest their gardens or make Sago. The Papuans are a very humble people who enjoy their culture and are very much a tribal society.”
