Where We Go

So many cultures, so many languages, so many customs, but each country below has one commonality. Each is full of people hungry for love, hungry for God. Look through the countries listed below and pray about joining us. We are looking for volunteers with a flexible attitude and a willingness to serve. Medical Missions Outreach is proud to partner with both medical and non-medical volunteers to accomplish our goal of introducing others to the Great Physician.

As a medical professional, you have committed your life to provide care to the hurting. You understand what it means to look a patient in the eye, listen to his complaint, and provide him with relief. And as a Christian, you understand what it means to share God’s love with a hurting soul. But why limit yourself to your community? This is an opportunity to minister to thousands of aching bodies and hearts all around the world.

When signing up for a trip, please make sure to start an online account before filling out the application form.

Lastly, don’t forget to read the ‘Know Before You Go’ section before applying.

Medical Missions Outreach honored to partner for years with Pastor Yankana to reach the community of East Bank, Demerara, Guyana. This year, we’re excited to branch into a new community with him to assist with a church plant. Pastor Yankana’s faithfulness to the Lord in this wonderful ministry will be an encouragement to each person on this team.

I feel incredibly humbled to be used by God in this way. People have asked what I wanted out of this trip. My answer was I wanted to see God move! I was not disappointed.

“Sara and I both graduated from PCC 1999. I worked on staff while completing my Masters from PTS, graduating 2003. We moved to Romania in January 2009 with our four children. We now have five children (Jacob 17, Bethany 14, Danae 12, Noah 10, and Justin 2) When we first came to Romania, I was teaching at a Bible institute, running children’s programs, camp ministry, and Church planting with a team of Romanians. During that time, we planted 7 Churches. The last few years, I have been working with one of my graduates from the Bible institute, and we now concentrate on Church planting in the gypsy villages. We have planted three Churches in three villages so far. We also opened a small school in one of those villages. During the summers, we travel all over Romania with our tent, sound equipment, and game equipment, and we run week long camps in the poorest villages of the country. Mornings are for children, evening programs are evangelistic events for the entire family.” – Brent George

Philip Warutere, the Pastor at Bible Baptist Church and an IPM national missionary, shares: Bible Baptist Church of Nyahururu, Kenya is a missions-minded church that has planted nine churches. Though small in size, God has graciously used this rural church in focusing towards fulfilling the Great Commission. To plant and get these churches established, the Lord has used medical brigades conducted by Medical Missions Outreach. Many people have heard a clear presentation of the gospel during the brigades, many getting saved, and quite a number joining these churches. Aberdare Baptist Church and Baraka Bible Baptist Church are direct church plants of Medical Missions Outreach brigades. Other than hearing the gospel, many have benefited from physical healing through these free medical brigades. The love of Christ showed to them by American doctors, nurses and volunteers has made it easier for the community to open their homes during visitations and look at our churches favorably. We look forward to many years of gospel cooperation with the Medical Missions Outreach.

I always thought of my nursing as a job. This brigade made me see how it can be used to minister to people spiritually.

The Burtons desire is to reach the lost in the Bougainville Province of Papua New Guinea by proclaiming the Gospel, preparing nationals through Bible school to reach their own people, and planting indigenous churches. This will be our first visit to PNG, and we’re excited to offer a two-week trip to this more remote location.

From the missionary: “Papua New Guinea will offer you a one of a kind look at a mission field in a unique, picturesque and unexpected place, for Papua New Guinea is the ‘Land of the Unexpected.’

Just to give you a forewarning- Many have come and returned to their homes only to find that Papua New Guinea has forever changed them, it has done this to us as well.

Papua New Guinea offers so much to do and see and there is nothing like walking to a village over streams on a log or going swimming in a reef and seeing fish and sea cucumbers up close. Although I find the greatest thing to do in Papua New Guinea is to sit and talk to the people or to watch them as they harvest their gardens or make Sago. The Papuans are a very humble people who enjoy their culture and are very much a tribal society.”

In the summer of 2002 the Fords answered God’s call to be missionaries to Moldova and were sent out of Belmont Baptist Church in Conyers, GA. During their first term God helped them to learn the Moldavian (Romanian) language, rebuild a struggling church and work in a large evangelistic camp ministry. Currently, their primary work is evangelizing and establishing a church in the city of Hincesti, Moldova, in a largely unreached region. Their desire is to faithfully serve God in Moldova through: evangelism, discipleship of new believers, planting churches, and training national leaders.

Project South Africa is a team of like-minded men working together to reach South Africa and the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ gave the church the task of reaching the world with the Gospel, and He lived the pattern that Project South Africa believes they are to follow to accomplish that task. That pattern is training faithful men who will be able to teach others also. As Jesus poured His life into men to reach the world, this team attempts to follow that same example. Their goal isn’t to see the biggest churches built or to start countless ministries. They simply have a desire to invest their lives into young men and women so they will be equipped to do the work of the ministry.
Project South Africa exists to serve. They want to help all who are interested in taking the needed steps to get them to the place where they are equipped to do what is necessary in ministry. Read more about this servant-minded ministry here: www.projectsouthafrica.com

The ministries of Calvary Baptist Church are located on the outskirts of Manila in the rapidly growing city of San Jose del Monte, which is part of Bulacan. This ministry was established in the 1980s as a direct result of missions, and the heartbeat of the ministry continues to be centered around reaching the world with the love of Christ in any way possible. It is an ever-expanding ministry that has its foundation in the church itself but reaches out through various ministries such as a Christian Academy, Bible Institute, church planting, sending out and supporting Filipino missionaries around the world, Bible clubs in resettlement areas and, most recently, a children’s home. They are currently working on a building project at the site of the children’s home that will include a new church, an education and a day care center for single moms. The population of the area is nearing 900,000 with a large number of the residents residing in government resettlement areas established for squatters who were relocated from Manila. The leadership of the church is currently in transition between missionary Carl Gormley and one of his Bible Institute graduates, Pastor Edgar Robes.

I learned many valuable lessons and it was all through the people we ministered to: their thankfulness for Tylenol or vitamins and their patience because they were willing to wait in lines for hours in high humidity, heat, and rain.
