BIO

My name is Jordyn Ownbey and I serve as the Volunteer Support Coordinator and Optical Team Lead with Medical Missions Outreach. I have always had a heart and burden for missions, and knew that the Lord wanted me to be involved in some way, but I didn’t know exactly how. My first exposure to Medical Missions Outreach was an eyeglass recycle box set up at my home church in 2021. My journey started by seeing this as a place to toss my old glasses, but the Lord had much more in store. I began working in the home office in March of 2022, and I took my first MMO trip in May of 2022 where I was assigned to the optical team. Since then, God has given me the opportunity to serve both in the home office with our local volunteers as well as on the field as an optical team lead. I am blessed to be a part of Pointing Others to the Great Physician, and I look forward to seeing how God’s good and perfect plan will continue to unfold.
